The aggregates are then loaded into sealed aggregate bins using a loader. Each bin is equipped with a weighing system to measure the various aggregates accurately based on their mass proportions. The weighed aggregates are conveyed by a semi-enclosed conveyor belt to a transition bin, from where they are discharged into the concrete mixer for mixing.


2. Powder Weighing (Cement, Fly Ash, etc.):

 

The required powders, such as cement and fly ash, are delivered to the plant area in sealed tankers. These powders are then pumped into vertical powder silos using tanker trucks or other conveying devices with the help of compressed air pumps. A butterfly valve is opened to allow the powders to flow into a screw conveyor, which transports them to the weighing hopper. The weighing process compensates for any proportioning errors in the aggregates. Once weighed, the cement is released from the hopper through a cylinder-operated butterfly valve and enters the concrete mixer for mixing.


3. Water Weighing:

 

The required water is pumped from a water reservoir into a weighing tank using a water pump. The accurately measured water is then extracted from the tank and sprayed into the mixer using a water jet.


4. Admixture Weighing:

 

The necessary admixtures are drawn from an admixture tank into a weighing tank using a self-priming pump. After precise measurement, the admixtures are introduced into the water tank and then sprayed into the concrete mixer via a water jet.


5. Mixing in the Concrete Mixing Plant:

 

The mixing process in a SIMAMIX concrete mixing plant involves the timed introduction of aggregates, powders, water, and admixtures into the mixer. As the materials enter the mixer, they come into contact with the dual helical blades mounted on two rotating shafts, which are designed to reverse and rotate. These blades subject the materials to compression, friction, shearing, and convection, resulting in a vigorous and thorough mixing. When the predetermined mixing time elapses, the mixer's door-opening mechanism, operated by a cylinder, opens the door, allowing the well-mixed concrete to be discharged into waiting transport trucks positioned beneath the mixer. Before being loaded onto the trucks, a sample of the mixed concrete is extracted and tested to ensure it meets the required specifications. Once the quality is verified, the remaining concrete is discharged, and the process proceeds to the next mixing cycle. The final product is transported by concrete tankers to the construction site.
